National Collegiate Rugby Announces 2026-27 Competition Calendar
National Collegiate Rugby (NCR) today announced the competition calendar for 2026-27. NCR has grown to more than 685 clubs nationwide, representing over 80% of all collegiate rugby. NCR is proud to be the highest standard of college rugby and serve more than 20,000 student-athletes and coaches.
The XVs regular season for both Men’s and Women’s kicks off Sept.1, featuring the much anticipated return of Friday Night Rugby, as well as the exciting launch of the FirstPoint USA Scholars Cup.
The Women’s National Playoffs run from Nov. 13–15, and the Men’s are from Nov. 14 to Dec. 5. This year NCR is excited to have four regional host locations for the National Playoffs: Canton, Mass., Rock Hill, S.C., Indianapolis, Ind., and Springfield, Mo.
The season concludes with the Women’s National Championship Weekend from Dec. 4–6, and the Men’s National Championship Weekend from Dec. 11–13, both take place in Houston, Texas.
Following the XVs season, the Collegiate Rugby All-Stars Weekend is set for Jan. 15–17. Two exciting changes have been made with All-Stars Weekend moving to Orlando, FL, and for the first time, Men’s and Women’s All-Stars are combined for one action-packed weekend.

Looking ahead to the spring, NCR is set to host the Collegiate Rugby Championship (CRC) National 7s on Apr. 24–26, 2027 in Boyds, Maryland.
