National Collegiate Rugby – Marketing Intern
National Collegiate Rugby (NCR) is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Marketing Intern to support our Marketing and Communications team in promoting the NCR brand, celebrating member achievements, and deepening engagement across our rugby community. This role offers valuable hands-on experience in content creation, storytelling, and community engagement in a fast-paced, mission-driven sports organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monthly Recognition Programs: Coordinate NCR’s player and coach recognition initiatives, including reaching out to recipients, collecting information, and writing short profiles for website and social media use.
- Event Coverage: Represent NCR at regional events to assist with on-site marketing, media collection, and member engagement.
- Story Sourcing: Identify and develop compelling stories from member clubs, players, and teams to spotlight through NCR channels.
- Social Media Engagement: Proactively interact with clubs and players on social media to build community, highlight achievements, and source shareable content.
- Proofreading: Assist with editing and proofreading written content (newsletters, web articles, social posts) to ensure clarity, consistency, and brand alignment.
- Support Marketing Campaigns: Assist in the development and execution of digital campaigns aimed at increasing visibility and engagement across NCR platforms.
Qualifications:
- Passion for sports marketing and storytelling, with a strong interest in rugby.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable reaching out and engaging with diverse groups of people.
- Experience with social media platforms (Instagram, Twitter/X, Facebook); Canva or basic design skills a plus.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and proofreading abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
