
Coast Guard showed their strength in Houston with a win over Wisconsin - Eau Claire 51-12, reigning as this year's Division II national champions on Sunday, December 7.

Coast Guard took the lead first 10-0 thanks to tries from wing Hannah Warnke and eight man Kaitlyn Boggs. Blugold wing Maggie Kane initiated the catch up with a try, supported by a conversion from fly-half Madison Cornell and a try from hooker Olivia George to lead 12-10.
Prop Meirabella Rouane took over the lead for Coast Guard, grounding the ball with a conversion from center Gabriella Kraus-Rivera to end the second half 17-12.

The Bears continued their scoring streak into the second half, with tries from Rouane (twice), wing Avery Soca (twice), center Marley King, center Hazel Mitrik and Kraus-Rivera. Three of those tries were followed by successful conversions from Kraus-Rivera to end the game 51-12.
This win secured the Division II national champion title for Coast Guard, with senior Kaitlyn Boggs receiving the MVP award.
