National Collegiate Rugby Introduces the Collegiate Rugby Championship Hall of Fame

January 24 – National Collegiate Rugby proudly announces the Collegiate Rugby Championship Hall of Fame, commemorating the exceptional athletes, coaches and contributors who have made indelible marks on the pinnacle of collegiate rugby excellence, the CRC.

Set to launch in 2024, the CRC Hall of Fame will honor those whose dedication, talent, and leadership have significantly shaped college rugby, as well as through achievements internationally and professionally.

The inaugural class will be inducted in front of 144 intercollegiate teams and thousands of fans Saturday April 27, 2024 during the Collegiate Rugby Championship at the Maryland Soccerplex in Boyds, MD.

"We are thrilled to announce the establishment of the Collegiate Rugby Championship Hall of Fame," said NCR CEO Jeremy Treece. "This prestigious honor seeks to recognize and celebrate the exceptional achievements and contributions of individuals whose dedication and passion have elevated collegiate rugby sevens in the US."

The CRC Hall of Fame Committee, consisting of journalists, tournament officials and NCR representatives, is finalizing the inaugural class. In addition to the on-field ceremony, inductees will be enshrined in a digital Hall of Fame, receive a custom HOF Plaque and a tailored Hall of Fame blazer.

Since its founding in 2010, the Collegiate Rugby Championship has been the crown jewel of college rugby, creating unparalleled player experiences while launching numerous international and professional careers. It put college rugby in stadiums and on national television regularly for the first time, and has grown to the largest collegiate rugby tournament in the world. Heading into its 14th iteration, the CRC is still college rugby’s center stage, and the Hall of Fame serves to connect its rich tradition and bright future.
