University of Vermont Catamounts dominated the Chicago Maroons for a 71-5 victory and division II championship win. This is the team’s first national championship title.

The first half kicked off with a try from Chicago scrumhalf Agustin Buteler, but the Catamounts quickly stopped them in their tracks. Five tries came through for UVM from center Harry Missing, fullback Colin Green, fullback Tom Burnett, and two from wing Luca Race. Scrumhalf Matthew Tevnan kicked three conversions for the team to end the half at 31-5.

The Catamounts kept their score streak alive, not letting the Maroons score any more points, with tries from Green, two from Race (earning a hat trick), two from second row John Worobel and Missing. With four conversions from Tevnan and one from flyhalf Alexander Zagereos, Vermont secured their victory.

Luca Race was awarded the MVP for his incredible four tries and effort on the pitch.
